Thanks to the improving situation in Ecuador, and the rapid pace of vaccination among university students in the US, our partners at the University of Wisconsin and the Universidad San Francisco de Quito recently announced that Spring 2022 semester abroad programs can proceed! We at Ceiba are delighted to finally return to what we do best, leading students on educational adventures to some of the most pristine ecosystems on earth.
We are working closely with both partners to ensure that student safety, and the safety of all staff and host family members, will be our top priority. The Covid-19 pandemic has certainly turned the world upside down, but we are confident that vaccinations, careful planning, and a renewed emphasis on learning out-of-doors at remote field stations, will allow Ceiba to run our world-class programs with minimal risk.
