Researchers working on the coast have a unique opportunity to stay within the Lalo Loor Dry Forest reserve. Our new biological station, set deep within the dry forest and surrounded by birds and Howler Monkey troops, was completed in 2015 and provides comfortable lodging for up to 24 people. It serves as the center for research, education, and conservation projects within the reserve and in the surrounding region. The station itself is rustic and has no electricity but individuals needing space and electricity for research are welcome to use the EcoCenter located by the main coastal highway. Internet access is located about a 30 minute bus right to the north in the town of Pedernales.
