RUN FOR THE RAINFOREST 2026

Run for the Rainforest 5K Raises $12,000 for El Pahuma

Ceiba’s Run for the Rainforest 5K brought our Madison community together in support of tropical forest conservation, and this year’s 5K was our biggest turnout yet!

Participants raised more than $6,000 to help protect Ecuador’s El Pahuma Orchid Reserve, an 890-acre cloud forest that provides critical habitat for endangered wildlife and supports the communities and ecosystems around it.

And the good news keeps growing…

Thanks to an anonymous donor’s dollar-for-dollar matching pledge, the funds raised through the 5K will have double the impact, bringing the event’s total to an incredible $12,000.

That’s eight times more than our previous Run for the Rainforest, making this year’s event a major milestone in Ceiba’s campaign to secure a future for El Pahuma.

We’re grateful to everyone who ran, donated, volunteered, and helped spread the word. Your support is helping turn community action into lasting protection for Ecuador’s tropical forests.

From the trails of Madison to the cloud forests of Ecuador, thank you for helping us protect the forests, wildlife, and communities that make these places so extraordinary.
