Join us for the Run for the Rainforest 5K Fun Run! The event kicks off at 10:00 AM at the Vilas Park Shelter, where you can grab a cup of coffee, snacks and pick up your t-shirt. The run/walk will start at 10:30AM, although people are welcome to join whenever. Participants will follow a 5K route through nearby parks and neighborhoods before finishing back at the shelter for food, refreshments, and a relaxed community hangout. Come run, walk, cheer, and help support rainforest conservation!
All proceeds from the Run for the Rainforest 5K will support Ceiba’s campaign to protect El Pahuma Orchid Reserve, a 750-acre cloud forest in Ecuador. As Ceiba’s 25-year conservation easement at the reserve ends, we are working with the Lima family and local conservation partners to help secure the reserve’s future, permanently protect its extraordinary biodiversity, and ensure this special place remains conserved for generations to come.
