Ceiba has offered world-class international education programs for over 20 years, and there’s still time to join the Tropical Conservation Semester in Ecuador! There you will tour the pristine ecosystems that make Ecuador one of the most biodiverse places on planet Earth. Soar in the Andes while we look for spectacled bears and condors! Glide down the Amazon river in search of a tapir or anaconda, monkeys, toucans, and an elusive jaguar! Tan yourself on the Pacific coast, while lending a hand to Ceiba’s conservation and reforestation programs. Bob over (and under!) the waves of the Galapagos, where sea turtles, penguins, hammerhead sharks, and sea lions await. Or … just hang out with friends!
A semester with the Ceiba Foundation nets you 16 credit hours (many for honors), backed by the academic quality of the University of Wisconsin. Your instructors have years of experience: leading conservation programs, guiding expeditions to wild places of unmatched beauty, and instilling university students with a curiosity and enthusiasm for learning that makes them outstanding candidates for any professional career or graduate program they choose!
Live and learn while immersed in the sights, sounds, and culture of Latin America. Home stays with host families in the valleys near Quito, and on the world-famous Galapagos Islands, will connect you to the lives of regular people and give you a chance to make friends for life! Internships let you put your knowledge into action, and gain invaluable hands-on experience. This semester has it all!
