Ceiba continues to focus on protecting the highly threatened tropical dry forests that line the coast of Ecuador.  These forests are home to hundreds of species of plants and animals, like the Ecuadorian Mantled Howler monkey pictured above.  Now that the Lalo Loor Dry Forest reserve has become a local success, we are extending our goals to include creation of a county-level conservation area which will protect forests and promote sustainable agriculture across this unique region.  Read more in Kapok!
