Ecuador is currently one of the hardest-hit Covid-19 countries in the world and rural communities are particularly at risk. Earlier this month, Ceiba launched an aid program to bring food supplies, soap, and masks to families living around the Lalo Loor Dry Forest Reserve. We partnered with local entrepreneurs and business owners in the area to provide the supplies and are currently working towards a goal of helping 165 of the area’s most vulnerable families. Thanks to generous donations from around the world, we delivered the first relief packages to dozens of rural households in greatest need of assistance. Each kit costs just $30.
