Apply Now for 2018 Tropical Conservation Semester in Ecuador

Spend five months exploring the incredible diversity of tropical ecosystems in Ecuador on this once-in-a-lifetime study abroad experience!  You’ll learn Spanish in Quito, follow monkeys in the rainforest, practice sampling techniques on the Pacific coast, and swim with turtles in the world-famous Galapagos Islands. Along the way we focus on the complex nature of tropical conservation, touring ongoing habitat protection and restoration projects, working with community leaders, assisting scientists, and exploring the challenges and opportunities facing the Ceiba Foundation in Ecuador.

Learn more about what we study and where we go by visiting the Tropical Conservation Semester pages.  The application deadline for this unique program, which provides 16 honors credits from the University of Wisconsin Madison, is Friday, October 6, so there still is time to join the expedition!  Click here (UW Study Abroad) to start the application process, and you’ll almost hear the sea lions barking on sandy shores!
