Ceiba is Hiring! Non-profit Administrator & Communications Coordinator

Be part of the Ceiba Foundation’s mission of connecting nature and people by coordinating our conservation, research, and education programs!  Ceiba is seeking energetic, organized, individuals with good communication skills to fill one full-time or two half- time positions to fulfill the roles of U.S. Administrator and Communications Coordinator.  A bachelor’s degree in a conservation or non-profit management field is required, and Spanish language skills are preferred.  If a strong candidate meets the qualifications required for both roles, they may apply for a single, full-time position.

The duties of the Non-profit Administrator include working out of our Madison, WI base to coordinate conservation programs in Ecuador; promote study abroad courses and manage application and enrollment process; develop volunteer & internship opportunities and coordinate application process; fundraise, including donor management, planning fundraising and networking events, and assisting with grant-writing; do basic accounting; maintain and organize documents and databases; and other administrative tasks associated with general office operations and ongoing projects (filing, paying bills, answering phone calls and emails).  For details, including a list of specific qualifications, see the position announcement.

The Communications Coordinator is responsible for managing communications with our U.S. audiences, including donors, alumni, partners, and board of directors; producing multimedia content that promotes our work and posting regularly to our social media; producing and distributing our quarterly and annual newsletters; updating our website; planning fundraising and networking events; assisting with grant-writing; creating and distributing marketing materials for study abroad programs and EduTours; and representing Ceiba in meetings, study abroad fairs, and other events.  For details, including a list of specific qualifications, see the position announcement.

Starting pay rate:  $18-20/hour
